Plastic Sucks
Your average kitchen sponge/scourer is entirely made of plastic, although some are made with metal. The plastic used in sponges/scourers is usually not recyclable, meaning they will end up in landfill or the sea after we are done with them, where they take hundreds of years to break down and cause environmental mayhem.
Enter EcoCoconut Scourers
This two-pack of donut-shaped, biodegradable and highly durable multipurpose scourers is ideal for all your household cleaning needs!
Made ethically in Sri Lanka from coconut fibre (or coir as it is more commonly known) wrapped around a stainless steel wire. Coir is a natural fibre extracted from between the hard internal shell of the coconut and the outer coat of the coconut.
As well as being totally natural, the scourers are naturally antibacterial, free from toxic chemicals, recyclable and biodegradable.
Each scourer measures approximately 10cm in diameter.
